The HiDock microphone status is strictly synced with the laptop or desktop system. When you connect HiDock to a laptop with Windows OS and mute it, the light will be red. If you open the Teams software but don't enter a live meeting, you will not be able to control the microphone status.
This is because when you open Teams but don't enter a live meeting, Teams has the authority to control the microphone, and HiDock cannot control it. However, in this scenario, HiDock indicates the correct system microphone status.
When you enter a live meeting, HiDock can control the microphone mute and unmute again because Teams in the live meeting will transfer the event to the OS system for the final control.
To recover from the situation, you can try exiting Teams or entering a Team live meeting to see if it works. Alternatively, you can go to the system microphone settings to enable the microphone again, and HiDock will be able to indicate the status correctly.
Note: Zoom has the same situation.
